Gregory Stiemsma (born September 26, 1985) is an American basketball center with the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association.

Stiemsma was born and raised in Randolph, Wisconsin. He led his high school team, the Randolph Rockets, to three consecutive high school state basketball titles in Division 4, at that time, the smallest division in Wisconsin.[1] He played collegiately at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Stiemsma played collegiately at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with the Badgers. As a sophomore, Stiemsma was diagnosed with depression after nearly becoming academically ineligible to continue playing basketball due to poor grades.[2]
Stiemsma went on to play in professionally in Europe with a team in Turkey.[3] After leaving Oyak Renault in Turkey he signed a lucrative contract to play in South Korea.[4]
On April 13, 2010, after spending one season with the NBA Development League's Sioux Falls Skyforce, Stiemsma was signed to a contract by the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves.[5] However, he was waived on September 10 and did not appear in a game.
On September 24, 2010, the Cleveland Cavaliers signed Stiemsma to a contract. On October 3, 2010, Cleveland waived him.
In October 2010 he signed a two-year contract with Türk Telekom B.K. in Turkey.[6]
In 2011, he earned a bronze medal with Team USA in the Pan Am Games [7] before returning to the Skyforce. [8] On December 9, 2011, Stiemsma signed with the Boston Celtics.[9]
